It's uncoated, so it stays soft and quiet, and woven tight enough to keep the down in. Inside, cotton walls form sealed 3D baffle boxes about 12 in (30 cm) across, with walls about 2.4 in (6 cm) tall in Lightweight and 3 in (7.5 cm) in All Season. Each box is filled by weight and sewn shut, so the down can't drift and no seam runs straight through to let cold in. Double needle stitching, a piped edge and a perimeter gusset give a full, square edge.
