Why 900+ fill power feels so light.
Fill power is how many cubic inches one ounce of down fills. At 900+, each cluster holds more air, so less down keeps you just as warm. That's how about 1 kg warms a whole King. The grams set the warmth, so we print them too.

Construction
Built so the down stays put.
Cotton walls split the inside into sealed boxes about 12 in (30 cm) across, 2.4 in (6 cm) tall in Lightweight and 3 in (7.5 cm) in All Season. Each box is filled by weight and sewn shut, so the down can't drift. No seam runs straight through, so cold has no way in.

The cotton cover is cut to the same size as the duvet. Tie them at the corners and side midpoints, and it sits square and stays put.
Putting the cover on
- Unzip the cover at the foot and turn it inside out.
- Lay it flat with the duvet on top, corners matched.
- Tie the 8 ties to the 8 loops on the duvet.
- Reach in, hold the two top corners and pull the cover right side out. Zip it closed.

Is 900 fill power worth it?
Yes, if you want the most warmth for the least weight. Fill power is how many cubic inches one ounce of down fills. At 900+, each cluster traps more air, so less down keeps you just as warm. Ours is tested by IDFL.
Which warmth should I choose?
Choose by your bedroom. All Season is 12 TOG, our warmest, for rooms around 60 to 67°F (16 to 19°C). Lightweight is 7.5 TOG, for 66 to 72°F (19 to 22°C) and down lovers who run warm. In between? Go Lightweight. You can swap free within 60 nights.
I sleep hot. Is a goose down duvet too warm?
It can be. Royal is our warmest, so hot sleepers should start with the Air Duvet Set, our coolest at 4.5 TOG.
Love down but run a little warm? Choose Lightweight, 7.5 TOG. It holds 805 g of down in a King, against 1,012 g in All Season.
Is goose down OK if I have allergies?
For most people, yes. It's washed to an oxygen number under 10, odor tested and hypoallergenic, and sealed in a tight, downproof shell.
Allergic to down itself? Choose the Cloud Duvet Set, made with no down or feathers.
Does goose down smell?
Clean down doesn't. Ours is goose, never duck, washed to an oxygen number under 10 and odor tested. If you notice a scent out of the box, air it for a day.
Will it leak, poke or crinkle?
No. With no feathers there are no quills, just 97% down cluster and 3% down fiber. The downproof batiste shell is uncoated, so it stays soft and quiet.
Does the down shift, or the duvet slide in its cover?
No. Each sealed box, about 12 in (30 cm) across, is filled by weight and closed, so the down can't drift. In the cover, 8 loops tie to 8 ties at the corners and sides.
What size duvet do I need for my bed?

Yes. It's RDS certified: the Responsible Down Standard bans live plucking and force feeding and tracks our down from farm to factory. Downmark certified too.
Goose down or down alternative: Royal or the Cloud?
Royal if you sleep cold or love down. Cloud if you want a tall, plush bed that's warm but not hot: 10.5 TOG from about 5.7 kg of fiber in a King, which doesn't trap heat like down. Royal is 12 TOG from about 1 kg of goose down, so it feels light and drapes close. Same cotton cover on both.
Does it come with a duvet cover?
Yes. The duvet arrives with its matching cotton cover (zipper at the foot, 8 ties inside) and a free lavender sleep spray. No pillows or sheets. The Royal Goose Down Sleep Set adds 2 Royal pillows and 2 pillowcases. Give the duvet a day out of the box to settle.
