Your first few weeks with Cloud are a chance to enjoy the full bed you chose and make it work beautifully in your own room: the cotton surface, the generous folds and the feeling of drawing a substantial duvet around you. Start with an easy setup, then notice how it feels through ordinary nights.
This guide is for the Cloud Duvet Set: a filled Cloud duvet and matching removable cotton cover. Use the first few weeks to notice what suits you. There is no required adjustment period to complete before asking us for help.
On arrival: give the duvet room
- Open the packaging carefully. Avoid cutting towards the fabric. Spread the duvet on the bed and give it a gentle shake.
- Allow the packing compression to release. Current guidance is 24 to 48 hours to expand. A low tumble with clean dryer balls is another permitted option where the item’s label allows it and the machine suits the load.
- Fit the cover deliberately. It is prewashed and ready to use. If you prefer a first wash, follow its label and dry it completely. Connect all eight ties to their matching loops, then close the foot zipper.
The cover-fitting guide shows the sequence. Look at the corners before shaking everything into place; one folded corner can make a new set seem awkward when the fit is correct.
Make your first finished bed
Once the duvet has expanded and the cover is fitted, centre the pair on the mattress and let the sides fall naturally. Straighten the foot edge, then fold the top back once rather than pressing all the fullness flat. Set your sleeping pillows where they are comfortable to reach; add a smaller cushion or throw only if you like what it brings to the room.
Take a look from the doorway and from the side you usually get into. Adjust the fold and the pillow arrangement until the bed feels inviting to you. If a decorative throw adds more warmth than you want at night, give it a place on a chair or bench. You can keep the finished daytime look and change the sleeping layers without remaking the whole room.

Over the first nights: change one thing at a time
Cloud has 800 g/m² of PureFlow microfiber fill and a 10.5 TOG warmth rating. It is deliberately full and substantial. Those specifications describe the duvet; they do not guarantee the same comfort in every bedroom.
Try it with the bedding you normally intend to use. If it feels too warm, notice whether a thick throw or extra blanket is also on the bed before changing everything at once. If you share, check coverage with both of you underneath it rather than only on an empty mattress.
If you want a lighter synthetic duvet, Air has 140 g/m² fill and a 4.5 TOG rating. It is a different fullness and warmth choice, not a promise of Cloud’s volume with its warmth removed.

Turn a night’s note into a useful next step
You do not need a spreadsheet of sleep scores. Keep a few ordinary observations, change one controllable part of the bed, and decide whether that change helped. Do not spend the trial trying to convince yourself to like the wrong warmth.
- Too warm with extra blankets: try your intended ordinary layers without the extra blanket. If Cloud itself still feels too warm, ask about a different warmth option.
- Too substantial over you: call it a weight preference. Repeated washing is not a way to turn Cloud into Air.
- One person keeps losing coverage: check the occupied bed and both people’s needs. An empty-bed photograph cannot settle that question.
- Empty corners inside the cover: check orientation, matched dimensions and attachments before treating it as the wrong bed size.
Save the delivery date beside the note and read the current trial terms. Contact us when you know it is not right; there is no need to fill every line or wait for the end of a week.
Keep the shape with a simple daily reset
When making the bed, hold the cover and insert together at the top corners, settle the duvet across the mattress and straighten the foot edge. If a corner feels empty, open the closure and check its position or tie before shaking harder. Finish with the same top fold and pillow arrangement you liked on the first day.
Wash the cover as needed and follow the separate care instructions for each piece. A clean new insert does not need a scheduled second-week wash. If you do wash it, leave time for low drying until the filling is completely dry.

For coverage questions, use the current size guide. For movement inside the cover, check orientation and attachments before deciding the bed size is wrong.
Keep the delivery date, not a countdown to tolerate discomfort
The 60-night trial starts on delivery. You can sleep with and wash the bedding according to its care instructions during that period. Contact hello@yumefeel.com within the trial if it is not right; you do not need to wait for a particular week.
Current return terms include a prepaid label and no restocking fee. Exchanges include free shipping in the US and Canada, with any product price difference handled separately. Original UK and Australian shipping charges are not refundable. Keep the policy with your order details so the timing and next step are clear.
If you share a review, describe your mattress size, usual layers and how Cloud felt through the night. An honest account of the fit, including anything you would change, is more useful to the next shopper than a string of superlatives.
