The trick is to connect the corners while you can still see them. Get the empty cover and duvet aligned on the bed first, and the turning part becomes much easier.
This method works with YumeFeel’s eight-tie cover and foot zipper. If your cover has four corner ties, connect the points available on both pieces. Start with clean, completely dry bedding and a pair whose dimensions are meant to fit.
Connect, turn, settle
01
Connect
The inside-out cover lies below the aligned duvet.
02
Turn
Hold corresponding far corners as the cover comes over.
03
Settle
Check each corner, clear the zipper and close.

- Lay the inside-out cover flat. Put its opening at the foot of the bed. Smooth the fabric so the corners are easy to find.
- Place the duvet on top. Match head to head and foot to foot. Seat all four corners without folding any underneath.
- Fasten the ties. Tie each cover tie to its matching duvet loop. With YumeFeel, use the four corners and four edge midpoints. A secure bow should connect them without pulling the shell into a pucker.
- Reach through the opening. Slide your hands between the inside-out cover layers towards the two far corners. Hold each cover corner together with the duvet corner attached to it.
- Turn the cover over the duvet. Keep hold of the two joined corners as you draw the cover right side out. Let the bed support the bulk of the duvet and work the cover over it in short sections, pausing to lay it flat. For a large or substantial insert, a second person can guide the opposite side; you do not have to lift the whole duvet above the floor.
- Settle the edges. Lay the covered duvet down. Gently shake from the corresponding top corners, then feel along the sides and into every corner to check that the insert has reached them.
- Zip the foot closed. Keep loose ties and the duvet shell clear of the teeth. Smooth the final shape and arrange the overhang.

Prefer to roll it instead?
Start with the same inside-out cover, aligned duvet and connected ties. Roll both layers together from the closed head end towards the opening. At the foot, turn each end of the cover opening around the corresponding end of the roll, then bring the middle of the opening over the bundle. Unroll back towards the head, easing the cover into place.
If a thick duvet makes the roll awkward to turn, return to the first method. There is no prize for fitting it in two minutes, and you do not need to force a bulky roll through a tight opening.
An empty corner is a clue
Before pulling harder, check for a folded corner, crossed tie or an insert turned sideways. If the pair keeps shifting after it is correctly fitted, use the movement checklist. If the dimensions are wrong, a different turning technique will not fix them.

On wash day, undo the ties before removing the cover and close its zipper for washing. Follow the separate care instructions for cover and insert. For a spare cover, compare your duvet with the Cloud Duvet Cover’s listed dimensions first.
